Look Like A Champion

While you may not be at the stadium, you can still show your team spirit. From jerseys and beanies to socks and blankets, we love that Dick’s Sporting Goods  has everything we need to help us get into the Super Bowl mood and cheer our favorite teams on. They even have authentic Super Bowl items, if you are looking for a way to commemorate the Super Bowl being in Arizona. These are some of our favorites Nike NFL Super Bowl Polo and Wilson NFL Super Bowl LVII Football.

If you are looking for a way to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles or Kansas City Chiefs, we love DICK’S has curated items for fans. Even for the fan that seemingly has it all, Dick’s Sporting Goods has ornaments, grill accessories and more for your favorite team. We can’t wait to rock our Conquered NFC East Division Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles beanie. And even if your team didn’t make the Super Bowl, it is always okay to wear a throwback jersey or a Hall of Famers jersey like this one for Walter Payton.

It’s Game Time!

Now that we know the two teams playing in the Super Bowl excitement is high! And whether your team is playing, or not, getting to together with family and friends to watch is just that much more fun. Some are there for the action, some are there for the food, and some are there for the fellowship and oftentimes with kids it means finding fun ways for them to be engaged so the adults can watch the big game.

DICK’S has everything football (as we’ve talked about gear and apparel) they also have games. Our kids have a blast with the Franklin Football Target Toss. They get excited trying to get the balls into the cutouts and are definitely keep ing score. We use the Stamina Folding Trampoline and have the kids run and jump off and judge who has the most creative catch. We get all their energy out by grabbing cones and make agility drills and time the kids on the course. It’s nice to get out in the backyard or nearby park.

But maybe you want to stay indoors and decide it’s time to create, or add to, the family game room. DICK’S has everything you can think of when it comes to indoor play. So even though the Super Bowl may be on, during commercial breaks, or if you just need to release some anxious energy, grab some fellow party friends and play foosball, or table tennis, air hockey, or arcade games… and of course pool tables or multi-function tables are always big hits too!

Home Field Advantage

From food to decor, another fun way to get in the Super Bowl spirit even if you don’t have a ticket is by creating a “home field” advantage through decor and food. For our decor we created this football field tablecloth. We got two yards of green felt from the local craft store, white duct tape and you can either cut out white numbers or use vinyl numbers. It is relatively easy to make. You can add logos or other printables too as a fun way to show team spirit.

Another fun addition to your party is taking mason jars and painting them different football themes. We used acrylic paint to create a playing field, football, and referee jersey. You can usually find mason jars at your local thrift store. This can be a fun activity for older kids to do too. We like putting silverware or straws in them for our serving station.

We love getting creative when it comes to the treats! We went with all options that any fan could enjoy rather than team specific. So Nutter Butter Referee cookies were a great start. You literally take the cookie, dip it in vanilla candy melts half way, and then once dry, use an icing tube to drop the stripes, smile and hair. Add the candy eyes and you’ve got yourself a whole crew of referees.

The Stadium cookie is a household favorite. simply make sugar cookies or roll out cookies, use a cutter or any object shaped like a circle and bake your cookies as directed. Then get icing and do the top half of the cookie, while still wet, sprinkle the rainbow balls completely covering (see how they look like fans in the stands! Such a colorful crowd). Let that portion dry a bit, then take green icing and do the bottom half (the grassy field) and then take a black or white icing and make the vertical line with a 5 on one side and an 0 for the other side to signify the fifty yard line.

The 50 Yard Line Brownies are the easiest. Follow a box brownie mix recipe, frost the top with green and then add green or white sugar sprinkles and use an icing tube to write 50 with the line drawn down the center.
