SUMMER CAMP-IN AT GREAT WOLF LODGE

For families that want to enjoy the quintessential summer tradition of camping, Great Wolf Lodge has a Summer Camp In. Guests can join the Trailblazer Challenge where you earn badges for completing different activities like family trivia, crafts, Yoga Trails and friendship bracelet making. In the evening, you can unwind in the lobby with campfire sing-alongs, dance parties, bedtime stories and other family-focused activities.

Our families love Great Wolf Lodge. Located near Los Angeles in Garden Grove, Great Wolf Lodge  is a 105,000-square-foot indoor water park with 14 slides and four pools. From water cannons to water slides, each Great Wolf Lodge waterpark has something for everyone. Whether you’re coming up for the day to enjoy the expansive indoor water park, or staying a few nights with the family you’re guaranteed to have a howling good time.

Great Wolf Lodge

In addition to the Summer Camp-In programs and waterpark, Great Wolf Lodge has a variety of themed activities that are complimentary to resort guests. You can also add Build-a-Bear, bowling, mini-golf, arcade games and MagiQuest, a live action game where you go throughout the resort to play too. We love it because we always make so many fun memories at Great Wolf Lodge.

IN A SEA OF THE SAME, LABEL IT!

While kids are excited for camp, parents hope their children return with all the items they attended with! Whether it’s day or overnight camp, sports or an amusement park trip, label everything. We want to give our kids the freedom play rather than be worried about their “stuff” so we turn to Mabel’s Labels. The have a label for everything you can think of, plus they are customizable with colors, and fonts, icons and size. They’ve even made it easier for families by creating a Camp Labels section as well as package Sports Label packages, and more.

We love that the shoe labels stay put, the clothing tags can go through the wash, and our kids can easily identify their items. Older kids can read their name and added help for younger kids if they don’t recognize their name yet is they can know their color and icon. Plus consider labels for emergencies, travel info and also allergies. You’ll find Mabel’s Labels to be so helpful you’ll come back in the Fall to get all your back to school needs too!

LIBRARY SUMMER READING ADVENTURE

Camps can get expensive and often fill up fast. A great option for families over the Summer is to take advantage of all the FREE programs the local library has to offer including their Summer Reading Adventure from June 1 – August 31.

Keep a reading log and get rewards from food items to museum entry and more. Our kids love keeping track of all the books they read throughout the summer. From story times to crafts and STEM programs, the local branches also offer different activities and classes. One of our favorites was reading a book illustrated by a local author and then doing a painting inspired by her illustrations.
