Kids love Santa and he’s definitely a highlight at Christmastime. So we’re Team Santa and from writing letters to tracking his route, meeting the big man or planning a virtual visit, we share a handful of ways your family can engage with Santa this holiday season.

Letters to Santa

One of the things we love doing each year is sitting down and writing a letter to Santa. It is one of the keepsakes I tuck away to look at their creative writing each year. I love seeing what they are asking Santa and their reasoning behind it. It can also be a motivation to be more helpful around the house to get more points on the “nice list.” We of course love wearing our holiday matching pajamas from Hanna Andersson. We found this adorable Santa Letter template from Happiness is Homemade. Sometimes if they are feeling really creative, I will have them draw pictures of what they want too.

Meet Santa: Virtually or at Santaland

Spending time with Santa is a must! So whether you’re going to Santaland at Macy’s on State St or setting up a virtual visit, Santa can’t wait to see you. Plus you can enjoy the holiday window displays and however you enjoy, it’s all FREE!

There are so many interactive ways to hang out with St. Nick and countdown the days until Christmas. We love meeting Santa at Macy’s Santaland on State St. but this year Macy’s has created a virtual version of their annual Santaland where you can make a reservation to meet Santa and play games and shop.

We love the idea of getting into the spirit either in matching outfits, jammies or even picking up a gingerbread kit from Macy’s and taking the time to decorate as part of the experience to get ready to meet Santa! Either option is free and keeps the kids entertained and excited with Christmas cheer.
