COOKIE EXCHANGE, BAKING & GROW WITH HOLIDAY HELPERS

Baking is a must during the holidays and kids always want to be little helpers… so whether it’s the gift of baked goods to neighbors, bread, or an elaborate cookie exchange, we love the Ergobaby 3-in-1 Evolve.

From baby’s first foods to big kid sous chef, the Evolve 3-in-1 High Chair transforms from an ergonomic highchair to a supportive chair to a kitchen helper. With easy set-up, conversion and clean-up, it simplifies a parent’s life so they can enjoy the magic in the everyday moments (and the timeless design integrates seamlessly into any home). The kitchen tower is perfect for our daughters to be at counter height for cracking eggs, mixing and stirring… plus it’s sturdy and safe way to bake!

HOUSES FOR THE HOLIDAYS & LAZY DOG DELICIOUSNESS

As you bounce around family members and friend’s homes, help your kids think a little deeper about the blessing of Christmas and understand what it means to help others and serve… thanks to Houses for the Holidays, it can be a fun and delicious lesson. Lazy Dog Restaurants which are all over, and one right in Roseville, have DIY Gingerbread House kits where you not only build a tasty house, but also helps build a physical house for someone in need through Habitat for Humanity. Kits are only $7.50 and 100% of net proceeds go toward building homes in the community.

Lazy Dog Houses for the Holidays

Lazy Dog Restaurants, is a casual dining restaurant. If you’re headed to the restaurant, you can build your gingerbread while you wait for your food. The kids’ menu has a “blueprint” that they can color and come up with their design and then they can build away. We also love the idea of enjoying one of Lazy Dog’s family meals and getting a couple of kits and having a competition with friends and family or you can even try one of their new Lazy Dog’s TV Dinners into the oven and while your TV Dinner cooks, enjoy this fun activity with your family. Both are available for takeout and delivery.

GET GRINCHY

“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps means a little more.” The Grinch and all of its variations are always on our Christmas movie watch list. We couldn’t resist this skirt and sweatshirt from Hanna Andersson. We love this outfit too if you take your kids to the theater to watch the Grinch or watch from the comfort of your home.

To go with our movie night, we made Grinch handprint ornaments. We used yardstick to trace our hands. Then you can either paint or color the hands to look like the characters. Add some googly eyes, cotton balls and stickers to decorate. We made Grinch, Max and Cindy Lou Who.
