Happy Birthday to Kevin James! This father of four turns 52 years old today and we remember interviewing him in 2010 when he made the movie “The Dilemma” with Vince Vaughn. At the time both their wives were pregnant. Vaughn with his first child and James with their third child.
We asked Kevin what advice he had for Vince entering fatherhood, and in turn to Vince what he was most looking forward to becoming a new dad.
Kevin James said,
“I didn’t have advice because I got to tell you, he has nieces and nephews and he’s incredible with them. He already knows what to do and there’s nothing I can tell him. He’s a great spirit and he’s going to experience it on his own and he’s going to do great.”
But Vince was quick to add,
“Kevin and his wife are so great and they are great with the kids; they have such a nice family. It was nice to see on the set how they were all there together and cooperate as a family and I think that it is important to include and do that as you’re working.”
In regards to becoming a new dad at the time he added,
“I’m excited. I don’t know how much help I’m going to be until the kid is two, or able to communicate. I’ll get up; I’ll do what I need to do. I think I’ll be better when I can have a verbal conversation because you know there are only three or four things that the kid may be wanting, but trying to decipher those things can be a little bit intimidating.”
