Pop Jet Celebration
On Thursday, July 11, Del Mar Highlands Town Center will be popping with the grand reopening of their Pop Jet! Festivities kick off at 10AM with a FREE concert from Hullabaloo. The FREE fun will continue from 11AM – 1PM with the Pop Jet Celebration featuring magical mermaid visits, photo booth fun, food and drink tastings, giveaway prizes and of course playing in the pop jet. Concerts & Free Fun
Even if you can’t make it out on July 11, don’t worry the fun continues throughout the summer. The pop jet will run daily throughout the summer. One of the things we enjoy doing is meeting up with other friends or going as a family to Del Mar Highlands Town Center and grabbing Iceskimo or Handel’s Del Mar ice cream and then playing in the pop jet. This is a fun way to cool off. We recommend wearing swimsuits and water shoes.
And every first Thursday of the month there is a FREE Hullabaloo concert on the lower plaza by the pop jet. When our kids were younger, they loved dancing and singing along with Hullabaloo. After the concert, we love taking advantage of kids eating free at Mendocino Farms (see store for details).
Del Mar Highlands also has Live Music Fridays on the Upper Plaza you can enjoy a free concert and meet up with your friends. We love grabbing a meal from Urban Plates. They have so many great options so everyone in your family or group can get what they want. Order the meal to go and head up to the Upper Plaza to enjoy the music while you eat.

Cinepolis Summer Movie – Handpicked $5 favorites
A movie is a great way to beat the summer heat and of course there are all the big tentpole studio films, and we’re definitely excited for a couple but the classics are simply the best. Our favorite place to watch a movie is at Cinepolis, not only is it a leading world-class cinema but its fully reclining leather seat, technology and in-theater waiter service provide the best watching experience.

And if you need another way to cool down, why not head to CeramicCafe. It is a fun way to look back how the kids have progressed over the years and we always enjoy using the items that they have created whatever the season.
