Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe has been a gladiator in the epic movie with the same name, an brilliant mathematician in A Beautiful Mind and a boxer in Cinderella Man. He’s been Noah and Robin Hood but the role of dad is the one he takes most seriously. Crowe has two sons — age 12 and 10 — and he feels the most useful when he is meeting their needs:
“Probably those days when you have a schedule with your kids that is just unreasonable. Where the school has placed one child on one side of the city playing sport and the other child fifteen miles away with a very small sliver of time between the two. And then like on a Saturday you might have a party to drop one to and a movie to drop the other one to… and when you get all that stuff done, and you are sitting in bed reading them a story and they say something really simple like, ‘Love you Dad.’ You say, ‘I felt pretty useful today.'”
