Savannah Bananas Game Day Guide: Must-Know Tips for Before You Go

If you’re thinking about taking your family to see the Savannah Bananas, get ready for a baseball experience unlike any other. The Savannah Bananas aren’t just a team — they’re a full-blown entertainment event packed with dancing, music, fan interaction, and nonstop fun from start to finish. If you’re heading to a game, here’s everything families should know to make the most of the day.

Be the Top Banana – How to Score Savannah Banana Tickets

We love that Savannah Bananas are fans first and make it affordable for families to attend a game together. Fans can join the ticket interest list for the Savannah Bananas on their site. Each year, there is a window to sign up for the ticket lottery. Given the popularity of the Savannah Bananas, people often resell their tickets. Use caution when purchasing tickets outside of their official site.
PRO TIP: Use every individual family member/friend’s email address that is trying to attend the game to increase the likelihood of winning the lottery for tickets.

Peel the Excitement – How to Get Ready for the Game

We got into Banana Ball mode by watching the games on ESPN. It gave us more of an understanding of the rules and we got to know the players’ personalities too. We also enjoyed the documentary of how the Savannah Bananas were started.
PRO TIP: Don’t sleep on social media either! The Savannah Bananas Cast have been known to show up at different local businesses making appearances.

Join the Banana Bunch – Arrive Early for Player Meet & Greets

If meeting players, getting autographs, and snapping photos are high on your family’s priority list, plan to arrive early. Before you go, make sure that you check out the schedule for your specific venue and date. This will give you an idea of when the festivities start and plan out your day accordingly. It is different from a regular baseball game in the sense that there is so much to do before the game even starts!

Lines can get long quickly, especially for fan favorites. If possible, divide and conquer — one adult can stand in one line while another takes the kids to meet a different player. It’s also helpful to talk with your kids beforehand about which players they most want to meet so you can prioritize wisely.
PRO TIP: Bring a sharpie and something easy to hold for autographs (hats, mini bats, or baseballs work great).

Banana Ball Bonanza – Don’t Miss the Pre-Peel Show

The Pre-Peel Show is where the party really starts. Think dancing players, music, crowd engagement, and plenty of chances for high-fives. It’s more than just warm-ups — it’s part of the show. We happened to stand in a spot and the kids got high-fives from nearly every player heading to the field. It was one of those core memory moments that makes the entire day worth it. This is also when kids start to realize this isn’t “regular baseball.” The Bananas blend athletics with entertainment in a way that keeps everyone engaged.
PRO TIP: The Pre-Peel show is 30-45 minutes long. So don’t show up late!

Stay Appeeling – Plan Food & Merch Strategically

There’s usually a window between when the Pre-Peel show ends and when the Show starts. It’s smart to grab dinner and pick up merchandise. Once the main show starts, you truly won’t want to leave your seat. Unlike traditional baseball games where you might wander the stadium, Savannah Bananas games are constant action. Between innings, during innings — there’s always something happening. Bathroom and snack breaks are best handled before the game kicks into full gear. Because we got there so early, we made it a point to sit down for food.
PRO TIP: Merch lines can also get long later in the evening, and popular sizes sell out quickly. If your kids have their heart set on a shirt or hat, grab it early.

Watch Out for Banana Peel – Know the Stadium Policies

Even though it’s a Savannah Bananas event, the hosting stadium’s policies still apply. Most venues and stadiums have a bag policy that remains in effect. Be sure to check the Know Before You Go page head of time so you’re not caught off guard. Also, remember that the stadiums/venues are often sold out, so factor additional time to go through security.

We brought water, snacks, and juice boxes to hold us over — especially helpful for younger kids during the early arrival and pre-game festivities.
PRO TIP: Have small snacks on hand to prevent unnecessary food line trips before you’re ready.

Don’t Split Before the Final Inning – Post-Game Meet & Greets

Post-game player interactions vary by stadium due to venue policies. Some locations allow more access, while others limit on-field opportunities. Don’t assume there will be post-game autographs — check your specific stadium’s guidelines in advance.
PRO TIP: If meeting players is your top priority, focus on the early arrival window instead of banking on after-game access.
