HOLIDAY LIGHTS, SANTA AND FREE SHOWS
Santa’s coming to town! If you are looking for a spot to take your children to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, Del Mar Highlands has got you covered. The best part is that it is free! You can take your holiday photos in Santa’s sleigh by Jimbo’s. In addition to Santa, there are lots of fun photo spots throughout the Del Mar Highlands Town Center including the Surfing Snowman by Jimbo’s, Surfboard Tree by Pop Jet Fountain and Delmer the Penguin in the Upper Plaza by Cinepolis. It is all part of their TistheSeaSun festivities.
Santa will be visiting Del Mar Highlands Town Center with Mrs. Claus
- Thursday, December 7 * 11AM – 2PM
- Saturday, December 9 * 11AM – 2PM
- Thursday, December 14 * 11AM – 2PM
- Saturday, December 16 * 11AM – 2PM
- Thursday, December 21 * 11AM – 2PM
One of our favorite things to do when the kids were younger was to meet our other mom friends for a Hullabaloo show. This fun and FREE singalong jam session is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. They will be on Thursdays at 10AM throughout December on the upper plaza. Afterwards, take your photo with Santa and then grab a bite to eat for lunch! And every evening at dusk, the Surfboard Tree will have a 15 minute light show through 9:00pm. We enjoy grabbing a treat from Batch & Box or Handel’s and watching the show.
TOY TIME! GEPPETTO’S GIFTS AND TOYS FOR TOTS
Ask any kid what excites them most about Christmas and you can be sure toys top most of their lists. The look on their little faces as they unwrap gifts is priceless… and what better place to pick out all the items populating their “Dear Santa” lists, then family-owned Geppetto’s Toys.
Stepping into this neighborhood toy store with over 40 years of experience you can’t help but feel like a kid again as they offer a large range of toys, games and more to spark creativity, imagination, and learning for the entire family. Plus toy experts are always ready to help with any questions and offer picks for the season or any occasion.
Geppetto’s is also a long time supporter of the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign, and will be a donation location all season.

COOKIES IN FESTIVE FLAVORS
Keeping with the theme of family companies, we love that Batch & Box was founded by wife and husband duo, Meghann and Justin Smith. Meghann has always had a passion and love for baking. After baking cookies for her family, friends, and co-workers, she finally decided to take a leap of faith and open Batch & Box in 2020 with a mission to create the most amazing cookies that remind you of nostalgic times and that also encourage you to create new memories with your loved ones.
We’re most excited for their festive flavors including:
The Cocoa Mint, a dark chocolate peppermint dough with white chocolate morsels. Hand-dipped in white chocolate and dusted with peppermint candy flakes.
The Ginger, a traditional ginger molasses dough and cinnamon morsels, then rolled in sugar and drizzled with glaze.
Batch & Box cookies are baked in-house daily with the freshest premium ingredients. You can’t have just one of these delicious treats and they make for great gifts too.
