One way to usher in each season is to change the decor in your home or office. Simple changes in color and design can dramatically alter a room’s look and feel. While it may seem too expensive to switch over all your picture frames, throw pillows, flowers and centerpieces, there a few simple projects you can do yourself that can leave a big impact.
Family Entourage teamed up with Mint Studio to learn how to turn a plain pumpkin into a conversation starter. Whether you are using paint, sequins, glitter, flowers or any other materia
l you can get your hands on, in an evenings amount of time you can make personalized decor.
We loved going to Mint because it enabled us connect with friends and we didn’t have to worry about cleaning up glitter from our house weeks later. Our husbands have already thanked us!
If you are still wanting to paint pumpkins but can’t make it to Mint Studio, here is a list of some of the items that you might want to pick up:
- White decorative pumpkins These work well if you want your pumpkin to last throughout Thanksgiving and you can also use it the following year.
- Glitter assortment
- Die-cut machine This is how those letters turned out so perfect. Or you can do calligraphy
- Paint Set We like the colors in this Martha Stewart set, but chose your favorites and make it personal. Chalk paints also work well on real pumpkins
