A marriage out of convenience, that’s the plot of the romantic drama Purple Hearts set in Oceanside, California. Singer/actress Sofia Carson plays an aspiring musician who agrees to the marriage with a soon-to-deploy Marine, by played Nicholas Galitzine, for medical benefits… but a tragedy soon turns their fake relationship all too real.
We talked with Galitzine about training and filming on base at Camp Pendleton as well as to Carson about singing in San Diego at a festival that made it way into the movie. Plus she is an executive producer on the romantic drama and shares how she put her stamp on the feature.
