As parents sometimes you are lucky enough to get feedback from your kids, while other times you are left guessing as to if the lessons you teach, and the character you display, are making any impact on your children.
Matthew McConaughey loves being a father to his three kids and recently he shared that he got a note from his 7-year-old son that read, “Thanks for letting me do so many things and thanks for not letting me do so many things.”

He went on to talk about what he thought that meant and then added,
“You’ve got to be a parent, it’s an option if you are going to be a friend. I feel like I have a pretty good friendly relationship with my kids… but they know I’m dad.”
The 47-year-old actor sums it up by sharing:
“We’re a pretty disciplined family but we’re a lot of fun.”
