HANDPICKED HOLIDAY MOVIES ALL MONTH
Holiday movies are a must during December… of course there are all the big tentpole studio films, and we’re definitely excited for a couple but the classics are simply the best. Our favorite place to watch a movie is at Cinepolis, not only is it a leading world-class cinema but it’s fully reclining leather seat, technology and in-theater waiter service provide the best watching experience.
A favorite over the month of December is the Cinepolis Handpicked $5 Holiday Classics with each week a film-favorite from the past is shown on the big screen for only five dollars a person. Such a fun lineup this year:
- December 6: The Grinch
- December 8-14: The Polar Express
- December 8-14 National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- December 13: Scrooged
- December 20: White Christmas
Be sure to pair the movie with the gourmet menu that has everything from bottomless popcorn to their world famous Supremas, and sandwiches and burgers all served ar the push of a botton from your seat!
THE MELT
Th newest addition to Del Mar Highlands is The Melt. It’s menu features items such as the Double Meltburger w/ Garlic Parmesan Fries – Angus & Wagyu beef, filled with loads of melted cheddar, diced jalapeno & pickle mix, melt sauce on a toasted artisan bun. The Melt’s beef is rough chopped at the grill so cheese is wrapped in every nook and cranny! Some other dishes to try are the Mac Daddy Grilled Cheese, Creamy Mac n cheese, aged cheddar, smoked bacon, and the Steak Fajita Mac and Cheese. Our kiddos love the burgers and fries.
HANUKKAH AND HULLABALOO
One of our favorite things to do when the kids were younger was to meet our other mom friends for a Hullabaloo show. This fun and FREE singalong jam session is a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. They will be on Thursdays at 10AM throughout December on the upper plaza. Afterwards, take your photo with Santa and then grab a bite to eat for lunch!
Plus mark your calendar and be sure to come on out to Del Mar Highlands for the annual Hanukkah Menorah Lighting. This event will be Tuesday, December 12 from 6:00-7:00pm. Congregation Beth Am will gather the community together at the upper plaza, near Cinépolis for the symbolic lighting of the holiday season, while they play a few songs.
