The CARS franchise has always been a favorite. In the first one we loved how Lightning McQueen learned to humble himself and that life is better when it’s done with others rather than solo. In CARS 2, we loved the international flair taking the race to a world stage and Mater getting more screen time as he solves a secret mission in London.
But by the time CARS 3 debuted this past Spring, it was different. Our excitement was on a whole other level. You see, both of us had our first babies, and we both had boys, who LOVE cars, and more specifically CARS. So yes, we were thrilled for the continuation of our favorite characters, but we now watched through the eyes of two years olds and it was simply magical.
CARS 3 has a lot of racing, and a lot of heart. We loved the new cars that were introduced like Jackson Storm and Cruz Ramirez, as well as the theme legacy and how you handle technology, growth, and change. McQueen and his friends infiltrated our homes with the replica racing cars, the activity, the puzzles, the gear, the pajamas… and of course the first two films play on repeat.
All this to say, we definitely had the calendars marked for the digital release October 24 and the Blu-ray release November 7. The high-octane hit revs into homes with extras for the whole family, including an all new mini-movie starring the demolition derby legend Miss Fritter, inside access to the cast, filmmakers and more!
