From new family films to familiar favorites, rom-coms, franchise continuations and even live football… this Christmas families first stop needs to be Netflix Holiday Hub where there have curated festive movies and shows for every mood.
Topping our list this season, we say bust out those matching pajamas for a family movie night with That Christmas. It’s from the director of Shrek and we absolutely loved the creative and heartwarming story. One of our all time favorites comes to Netflix as well, The Star! The nativity told through the eyes of the animals with an all-star cast of voice actors from Zach Levi to Patricia Heaton, Kristen Chenoweth, Mariah Carey and Oprah. We also love revisiting The Christmas Chronicles and The Christmas Chronicles 2, plus The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday and Dragons Rescue Riders Huttsgalor Holiday are super fun short length films. We also love watching new episodes of Gabby’s Dollhouse and Hot Wheels Let’s Race.
For us parents looking for a couple heartwarming new holiday rom-coms, I will be the first to admit my husband and I enjoyed seeing Lindsey Lohan back on screen opposite Kristen Chenoweth in Our Little Secret. You can also check out Christina Milian’s Meet Me Next Christmas and Lacy Chabert’s Hot Frosty.
Plus mark your calendars to check out Christmas Day NFL Games on Netflix. The two epic matchups include the Super Bowl LVII-winning Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 PM ET; followed by the Baltimore Ravens versus the Houston Texans at 4:30 PM ET.
We love that NFL Christmas Gameday will be one to remember with a family affair both on-and-off camera marking the first-time a father and son broadcasting duo, Ian and Noah Eagle, are calling games for the same streaming service. JJ Watt will be providing color commentary for the Steelers-Chiefs game, where his brother, linebacker TJ Watt will be playing and the McCourty brothers will be working together from the Pittsburgh sidelines.
And then in January the freshly nominated Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl featuring Aardman’s beloved duo starts streaming. A selection for both Critics Choice Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature, this next installment in the British stop-motion animated comedy franchise is sure to top watch lists.
