The Winter Olympics are here and we’re bringing you some fun outfits and ideas to help you cheer on your favorite athletes. So whether you’re cheering on Team USA or headed out of town for ski week here are some fun outfits to keep you festive and warm
Snowboarding
These guys are getting ready to cheer on San Diego raised Shaun White in snowboarding. White won gold medals in both 2006 and 2010 Olympics. Team USA is the most dominant team since snowboarding was added to the Olympics with 24 medals. The favorite for gold is 17 year old Chloe Kim. A fun way to get in on the action is to hop on a Whirly board. You can mimic the snowboarders on TV and get some activity in. Izzy is wearing Hanna Andersson Colorblock Sweatshirt and Superlight Down Vest with North Faces’ International Collection Five Panel hat. Joshua is wearing Hanna Andersson navy long johns.
Figure skating
From Dorothy Hamill to Michele Kwan Tanya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, the US figure skating is filled with champions. These girls are geared up to cheer on women’s figure skating. New this year to the Olympics is a team figure skating completion. Only 10 countries have qualified the US being one of them! Whether you live in a warm climate or a cold one, it is always fun to get bundled up and head to the ice rink for a couple hours and skate. The girls are wearing Hanna Andersson Glitter Twirl Dress because what little girl doesn’t want to twirl even if she is just learning how to skate!
Skiing
These guys are rocking their captain america pajamas because we know that sometimes our favorite sports are on really early on the morning or late at night. And while we love our super heroes one of our favorite parts of the Olympics is hearing the heroic stories of how many of these athletes and their families journeys to the Olympics. These guys are ready to cheer 2010 gold Olympian Lindsey Vonn in the downhill completion. Vonn is the first American woman to win a medal in that race. Vonn is known for being helicoptered off the mountain with an injury at the Tourin Olympics. She would come back days later and still compete. Her perseverance is the spirit of the Olympics that so many of these young athletes look up to. Caleb is wearing Captain America long johns from Hanna Andersson and Kyle is wearing the classic red and white stripe long johns from Hanna Andersson.
Bobsled
The us bobsled team is looking to build on the four medals they won at the Sochi Olympics. We’re all rooting for Team USA Olympian soldier, Sgt. Justin Olsen. recovering Tuesday from an unexpected surgery performed just days before the games. They said Olsen is working to rebound from his operation so he can compete in the Feb. 18. A fun way to get in on the action is turn a regular wagon into a bobsled. We took aluminum foil and wrapped our wagon and printed out decals using our HP Envy and HP photo paper. Take it down the hill for a little rush or just cruise around the park. The girls are wearing half zips from Old Navy and Nana is wearing a t-shirt and hat from the North Face International Collection
Gear UP!
We loved pairing all of the items with Team USA gear from North Face and Old Navy. It is a simple way to cheer on your favorite athletes whether you are on the slopes or running errands. We also love Babiators sunglasses. It can be easy to forget how intense the sun is on the slopes. Often people remember to wear their goggles when skiing or snowboarding, but it is just as important to protect your eyes off the slopes. Babiators and Navigators (older kid version) are great for kids. They are 100% UV protected and durable. Even if you have a little one, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the action. We rocked the Tula Baby carrier made famous by Olympian Michael Phelps.
We were given items from North Face, Babiator Sunglasses, Hanna Andersson, HP and Whirly Board. All of our thoughts and opinions are our own.
