Whether you are headed to a holiday party or just wanting to get cozy by the fireplace and watch a Christmas movie, it can be fun to get dressed up as a family. We share some of our favorites for the season.
The winter season is not complete without matching flannels and sweaters. From meeting Santa to playing in the winter wonderland, we love Tea Collection because it has so many great options. With active kids, we love being able to layer the flannel with the sweater. It keeps us warm when we are outside and when we get too hot, we can shed a layer and still look cute. This flannel and sweater set come in a range of sizes so all your children can match. One of the reasons we love Tea Collection is because so many of their pieces have meaning behind it. We are able to have a conversation about the community that we live in and use the clothing that we wear as a platform. Tea Collection partnered with the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe to create these sweaters, inspired by Southwest Indian textile traditions.
Whether it’s your child’s first Christmas or you just prefer a personalized touch RuffleButts not only has adorable clothing for girls, but you can add a monogram to most items too. As you can gather from the name, their signature items are frilly — ruffles on bloomers, leggings, and shirts. Since this is our first Christmas with Kierstin we picked a festive plaid paired with velvet leggings, monogramed with her initials in script. Of course the outfit isn’t complete without a big headband bow too! But we love all their items and variety of styles, colors and clothing for every season. Customer service and quality are two key components to the brand as items are hand wrapped before shipped and a thank you is included in every package. You may have seen their founder on Shark Tank too!
From holiday parties to family photo sessions, Appaman has suits, dresses and accessories for your children to really shine! One of the trends we are seeing is girls wearing tailored blazers and suits so we paired the girls dress with a blazer from the boys line. Appaman has so many great options if your little man needs to dress up. They have classic looks to suits and accessories that are funky and fresh as well. This is their Velvet Mod Suit in Vintage Black paired with a dress shirt, and bow tie. We love letting our kids wear their gym shoes paired with their dress clothes, for some reason they have a tendency to last longer in the outfit then if we force them to wear dress shoes.
As much as our boys love their gym shoes, they somehow don’t quite make the cut when we are trying to do nice photos or have a function to attend. We love Florsheim shoes because they great classic dress shoes for men and children. From oxfords to loafers and boots, there are so many great styles to match any look. We are huge fans of their chukka boots. They are made of genuine leather so they were dressy enough for photos but also have a rugged rubber sole so tough enough for toddler boy adventures, like finding the perfect Christmas tree!
Nothing says holidays quite like family matching pajamas! Hanna Andersson has thirteen collections of ways for families to match. Whether you’re riding the Polar Express like our families, meeting up with Santa, decorating the tree, or just getting ready for bed, it’s so much more festive when everyone gets jammies in the same print. Hanna Andersson pjs are soft, durable and made from organic cotton. They also have accessories in many of the collections including beanies, socks, sweaters, headbands and more.
Whether you are headed to the snow or just want a cute boot to be cozy by the fireplace, Koolaburra boots are a must! Koolaburra is UGG’s little sister brand. They have fresh and free-spirited styles. As moms with kiddos that are constantly growing, we love Koolaburras because they are effortlessly chic and endlessly wearable. They offer of-the-moment styles offered at wallet-friendly prices. We can’t get enough of the cute bows, buttons and toggles that make the boots so unique.
We received items from Stella Maris, Appaman, Hanna Andersson, Tea Collection, Koolaburra, Rufflebutts, and Florsheim. All of our thoughts and opinions are our own.
