From National Pizza Day to the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day and President’s Weekend School Break, there is so much to celebrate in the month of February. We curated creative ways to keep your kids on theme and active during this season of fun.
NATIONAL PIZZA DAY: TAKE SAMMY’S HEARTS HOME
Who doesn’t love pizza? National Pizza Day is a fun excuse to celebrate and make pizza together as a family. We love Sammy’s Pizza for all of their delicious pizzas and salads. From LaDou’s Barbecue Chicken pizza to New York Style, their wood fired pizzas are perfection. Throughout the year, you can purchase Gourmet-to-go pizza kits, which let your family become pizza artisans.
And during the month of February, you can get heart-shaped pizzas kits. We love that they come with all of the ingredients necessary to make your favorite pizza. It is a fun way activity to do together as a family. And the best part is you get to eat what you created together!
FALLING HEAD OVER HEELS: SKY ZONE FAMILY FUN
Fall head over heels this Valentine’s with family fun… at the trampoline park! Make the day special and bring everyone to SkyZone for 30,000 square feet of excitement. With locations in Carlsbad and San Marcos, it’s the perfect place to spend President’s Weekend or breaks from school where kids have blocks of free time.
Our family loves the variety SkyZone has to offer from bouncing and jumping, to dodgeball, the ultimate warrior course, and sports like basketball and soccer. The free video arcade area always captures their attention too.
SkyZone also has great programs like Little Jumper Time, Home School P.E. and even gives couples some time to connect with Parents Night Out, where every Fri & Sat night you can drop your kids and go out for a date! Plus it’s an epic place for Birthday Parties since they have private rooms and all-inclusive packages. SkyZone is the place kids want to be, they’ll flip at the chance to play!
BE MINE: VALENTINE FAMILY FASHIONS
We love any excuse to wear family-matching outfits and Valentine’s Day is no exception. From matching heart pajamas to sweaters and sweatshirts, Hanna Andersson has so many fun options for Valentine’s Day. Our boys loved the Star Wars Valentine’s Day shirts and the girls love the heart dress and leggings. They even have the cutest Valentine Day shirts with fun sayings like You Have a Pizza My Heart.
A fun idea is to take a photo in your Valentine’s Day outfits. Then craft a Valentines Day card using the photo. We used come leftover Valentine’s Day craft supplies and washi tape and added our photo to make cards for our family.
