Elle Fanning turned 18 years old this past April… she is very close with her family and even still lives with them! As a birthday present she gave herself a public Instagram account, @ellefanning, so all her fans can now stay more closely connected with her. Before this milestone birthday…
“My grandmother would go with me on all my movie sets before I turned 18. She would always come with me and my mom would come with me as well.”

Born in Georgia, her older sister Dakota moved to Los Angeles first with their mom and then Elle and her dad joined them. Fanning says:
“It was exciting having an older sister on movie sets and I remember I was young and when I was little I would visit her on the sets and see what it was like.” She continues, “My sister and I would always play around the house and dress up and come up with this fantasies. So when I realized acting was actually a job that you could do for the rest of your life I thought, this is the best job ever!”
