If your family is like ours, the days of the holiday season fill up fast with activities, events and parties. You’re taking one little one to their school performance and helping another practice their solo for the Christmas concert. There are tree lightings and list readings to Santa, ice skating and shopping, plus caroling and baking… but we can’t forget how important it is to spend time together connecting over a good meal.
It seems in the holiday shuffle all our meal prep and dinner planning gets completely lost. So we can’t tell you how happy we were to see Buca di Beppo pull up in our driveway with a fully catered meal for our families! We figured let’s reduce stress and leave the cooking to the neighborhood Italian restaurant. Buca arrived with all the favorites we selected, they unloaded and set up everything.
The smell of the pastas had our girls sneaking tastes before we all sat down at the table. We had a great variety including spaghetti with meatballs, penne alla vodka, chicken parmigiana, chicken limone, green beans and the apple gorgonzola salad. Everything was delicious!
We also took advantage of their gluten-free menu. Not only were there several options, they too were loved by all. The best part about leaving all the cooking to Buca is that it gave our families more time to actually connect over our meal. And by connect, we mean our husbands could cheers meatballs while working on their italian accents. But in all seriousness, we were able to slow down, indulge and re-fuel in more ways than one.
And we can’t forget the cannolis! Cookies are always a big hit with our littles but we had to introduce them to the authentic treat. Right now if you order more than $100 of catering from Buca di Beppo you can get a free half tray of mini cannolis too! Did we mention that they have options for any budget and any size? Plus we had plenty of leftovers that stored great in the refrigerator and gave us time-saving ready-made options for the next few meals!
