Blank Alcove to Elegant Entry Hall

Oftentimes there are alcoves, cutouts or odd shaped places in our homes that leave us wondering how to style the space. We had a recessed area that we were determined to take from blank alcove to elegant entry hall and Lowe’s was crucial to the transformation.

For our alcove it all started with a staple piece of furniture, Qualler Rustic Espresso Console Table. The dimensions worked perfectly for our space and we really liked the wood color and design with the multiple drawers and the bottom shelf. We knew we’d be able to stylize with many options.

We chose to put a large piece of art on the wall. Depending on where you space is located art is always a great option, framed photos or a giant mirror. Here are some of our favorite options for backdrops:

When it comes to stylizing the table and shelf… you’ll have to try colors, themes and varying height options. We went for a large vase with sparse greens shooting out to add the desired height on end. Florals are always a great option and then pair it with picture frames and decorative items. Stacked books, a staple pillow or throw blanket and candles or lantern lights are great go-tos as well. Here are some options to start with:
