His name is synonymous with the wild, nature and adventure… yep, Bear Grylls. He’s the British former SAS serviceman, survival instructor, writer, host and more. It’s always refreshing to chat with this adventurer especially when extreme nature can equip families during quarantine and looming homeschool.
His latest series, World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji hits Amazon Prime this Friday. It’s an 11-day expedition that pushes competitors to their physical and emotional limits as 66 teams descend upon Fiji to compete in the most epic global adventure race ever attempted.
Families can cheer for their favorite teams, explore the terrain of Fiji, see the culture, learn about teamwork and perseverance all while “staying dafe at home.” But we also love that Bear knows “Family is the heart of life…”
He went on to share how he loves “the World’s Toughest Race because it’s an adventure way of showing what matters in life… it’s that tight family unit where when it works it’s beautiful and powerful but if you stop investing in things that really matter like little kindnesses, respect to each other, humility and helping each other… if you stop investing in that, then the team unit, family unit, falls apart.”
Along with Kane Miller Books he’s created an amazing 10-book adventure series for kids, he has activity books, coloring pages and beautiful hardback books featuring Extreme Planet, Epic Climbs, Epic Expeditions and Survival Camp.
