Here are more ideas to help you hit a homerun with your team.

  1. Starting lineup- Have guests get in the mood for the party by encouraging them to wear their favorite jersey or even dress up like the team mascot or favorite player. You can give prizes for most creative, most fanatical, or most vintage. Décor can be simple. If the team has a sign, award or banner, display it. We also took apothecary jars and filled them with baseball. You can do the same with baseball cards. We also printed out the teams from the Cactus League and paired it with a fun cactus. The possibilities are endless.
  2. Batter Up!- Create a fun photo station where family, friends or teammates can pose and take a picture. You can use a simple backdrop and have a box of props with baseball hats, jerseys, pennants with the team name or funny sayings. Or you can get a little more creative and do a cut out of a baseball card either on an old sheet or cardboard, where guests can pop their head in and take a pic.
  3. 7th inning stretch-We love the idea of having snacks that you would find at the ball park. Things like Cracker Jacks, sunflower seeds, peanuts, popcorn, and even Big League chew. It is nice to get these in small packages that way people can try a little bit or even take them with them to the game. We also had fun with our drinks putting signs on the drink bins with “Rookies” for drinks for the kids and “Old Timers” for the adult beverages

4. Homerun-No party is complete without dessert. We made a baseball cake for our party by taking a vanilla cake. You can use yellow cake mix as well. Topping it with vanilla frosting and then topping it with strawberries in the shape of baseball seams. To get the seams perfect, we used a bowl and traced a line. Check out our pics. There are lots of great options that will be a homerun with your team.

5. Autographs, please! – Have guests sign a baseball plate or home plate with messages for the guest of honor. This makes a great keepsake for a coach, the birthday child or team mom. They can write their favorite memory about the season, well wishes or a funny quote. This can also be done with a team photo and a frame where guests can write messages on the frame
