A Show Under the Stars: The Moonlight Ampitheatre

Looking for something to do with the family this weekend? With baby due any day, we sent my parents for a night at The Moonlight to see The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It’s the first time the epic musical retelling of the Victor Hugo novel comes to the outdoor venue in Vista and shows runs through Sept 1.

With nearly 60 actors, choir members and orchestra, it is sure to be a fabulous evening under the stars for all to enjoy. It was the first time my parents had seen a show at Moonlight and they thought “the venue is great with multiple areas where people and families can gather.” They were impressed with “the openness for children to run around before performances which is especially great if bringing younger kids.”  They liked that there was a variety of food offerings and at reasonable pricing. Going a step further to add that the music and production were top notch saying “Moonlight Amphitheater is a hidden gem with Broadway caliber performances!”

Even though the summer is ending, the show season is not. Next on the slate is Chicago running September 12-29. And you can check out their calendar for youth shows, family movie nights and more through the end of the year!

We were given tickets to Moonlight Theater. All of our thoughts and opinions are our own. Photos courtesy of Moonlight Theater.
