If you’re looking to score a slam-dunk with your kiddos this summer, the Nike and LEGO® Play Arena returns to LEGOLAND® California Resort from July 1 to August 10, inviting kids and families back into the game for another summer of active, creative fun. This exciting basketball-themed experience – a global collaboration between Nike and The LEGO Group – brings together active and creative play to fuel the future of youth sport in a one-of-a-kind arena designed just for kids and their families. Admission to the Nike and LEGO Play Arena is included with general admission to LEGOLAND California Resort.
TIP — Make sure to head to Nike and LEGO® Play Arena as soon as you get to the park as lines grow throughout the day.
Guests can get in the game at the Nike and LEGO Play Arena, where a lineup of interactive, basketball-inspired activities awaits. Our kids loved styling their LEGO Minifigure Athlete Trading Cards. It was fun seeing how each of them created something unique to their personality and style.
TIP – The trading card FREE and is printed out and available at the exit. It makes such a fun keepsake, so don’t forget to grab it!
And of course, there was a station where they could use LEGO bricks to build and display their own LEGO Mini Basketball Jerseys. Some opted for making jerseys with their favorite player’s number and others got creative with new team looks.
TIP – We reminded our LEGO loving kids that their work would be part of the display. AKA – you do not get to take the LEGO creation home with you.
Families can take on the LEGO 3-Point Shot Challenge, testing their skills on a custom-built court that brings the fun of basketball to life in LEGO form. To top it all off, guests can capture the moment with a photo at the vibrant Wall of Fame—the perfect keepsake from this playful, action-packed experience.
TIP – Take lots of photos and videos throughout the Play Arena!
The return kicks off just in time to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated Nike Dunk x LEGO set, available starting July 1 — with sets also available for purchase at LEGOLAND California Resort, as well as the retail date of Nike Air Max Dn x LEGO Collection on August 1.
And of course if you are headed to LEGOLAND for the Nike x LEGO Play Arena, there are lots of other fun things to see and do this summer. At the center of the excitement is the Summer Block Party – a high-energy, season-long celebration packed with live entertainment, interactive shows, surprise character appearances, and nonstop opportunities to play, build, and explore. Adding to the fun is the grand return of theLEGO® World Parade, a vibrant procession of LEGO themed floats and fan-favorite characters that bring the streets of LEGOLAND to life in spectacular fashion.
