Spring-A-Palooza with Great Wolf Lodge

Spring break and summer vacation are right around the corner and whether you are looking to get away for an entire week or just need a weekend away as a family, sometimes a staycation can be just the right speed for the family. Often, work or sports commitments keep us from being able to go away for long periods of time. But taking a few days away as a family can be great to reset and spend time together. We recently took a weekend trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim, California to preview their Spring-A-Palooza a celebration.  It was our first time going to Great Wolf Lodge. We had a great time and the kids are already asking when we can go back. During our weekend stay, it rained the entire time, which is really unusual for Southern California. But our plans weren’t affected at all!

Rain and cold weather didn’t ruin our fun. We went bowling, played mini golf and even did story time yoga!

One of the things that I loved about staying at Great Wolf Lodge is that they really want to create a space for families to connect and create memories. As a mom, I am just trying to make sure I pack everyone’s things for the trip. The last thing I want to do is have to figure out what to do when we get there. Thankfully, Great Wolf Lodge has plenty of activities in addition to the water park. Because there are so many amazing things to do, we share an overview of our experience at Great Wolf Lodge including all of the ongoing activities. Each season, they have themed activities for guests to enjoy.

As much as we love the being in the water, it is nice to have some activity options throughout the day to take a break. A complete list of all of the daily activities and times are listed in the Lodge Life schedule you receive at check-in. All of the Spring-A-Palooza activities are complimentary for guests staying at the resort.

Our favorite part of Spring-A-Palooza had to be the Bubble Dance Party. After eating an amazing dinner at the Lodge Wood Fired Grill, we heard fun music coming from the Lobby. We had to check it out. Everyone was enjoying the Bubble Dance Party. I loved watching my son’s smile as he danced and had bubbles surround him and my daughter loved bopping along on daddy’s shoulders. We also enjoyed Northwood’s Tea Party with Violet and friends. We sipped on sweet tea and lemonade with our friends as we decorated cookies. The party also features songs, dances, crafts and games. We finished up our time with a picture with Violet.

In addition the Bubble Dance Party and Tea Party, guests can also enjoy spring-themed crafts like Oliver’s Crazy About Bugs Jar, Violet’s Springtime Noodle Doodle, Brinley’s Don’t Blow Away Kite and Wiley’s Can You Spot It Binoculars. There is also a jelly bean guessing game where guests can guess how many jelly beans there are for a chance to win a Great Wolf Lodge gift card. And every night, guests can wear their pajamas for Spring-A-Palooza story time featuring a spring theme tale in the Grand Lobby.

Guests who want to can check into a Spring-A-Palooza themed suite for an additional cost.
