Make Your Disney Trip a Success

Going to Disneyland with the family is no small feat. Especially when you have children under the age of five. Even when the grownups outnumber the children they can still be a juggling and balancing act for all. We took our entourage to Disneyland-four adults, one of which is pregnant and three kids under the age of four.   Here are some of things that we have learned along the years and even on this past trip when it comes to going to Disneyland.

Pack snacks! I would venture to say the success of your trip hinges on packing snacks for the entire group. It can be easy to think about what to pack for the kids, but don’t forget the adults too. The lines get long and tantrums and frustrations can rise when the blood sugar levels get low. We love packing a variety of snacks. One of our favorites are the Happy Family clearly crafted pouches. All the ingredients are listed on the pouch and are organic. Our little guys love them and I even pack some for myself too. They taste like a smoothie. A little trick is to put them in the freezer before your trip and then put them in your lunch pack. It will serve as an ice pack and as it thaws out it makes for a fun cool snack.   Sometimes it can be even nice to leave the park for a meal or a snack. One of our favorite places to go is Yogurtland. They have lots of yummy flavors and toppings to choose from. It’s a fun stop even if you aren’t going to Disneyland!

Don’t forget the snacks! We love Happy Family pouches

Take lots of pictures On weekends and during busy times, it can be difficult for little ones to wait in line for the rides. But the good thing during these busy times is that there are usually more character meet and greet times. If your family has favorite characters, look up the schedule of when they will be out. Take lots of pictures. You can always have the worker use your camera or phone in addition to theirs for the Disney photo pass. We also love to take group pictures along Main Street, in front of the castle and against the wall near It’s a Small World. We are loving the new Aura Frames. You take your pictures and with the app select which ones you want to share with your friends and family and it uploads it directly to the frame. We like it because even though we are on social media, we don’t always want to share every picture with the world. The other amazing thing is that it doesn’t run out of space. It comes with a mount or brackets so you can hang or display it. So whether you have a ton of pictures from Disneyland or just the day-to-day photos of life, Aura is a great way to highlight them in your home or share them with friends and family.   Don’t forget baby One of the reasons we love Disneyland is because there are several rides that you can bring your baby on or even ride pregnant. We find that it is easier to wear baby while we wait in line and ride. It frees our hands up to pass out snacks, chase down wandering toddlers and take pictures. One of our favorite carriers is Tula free to grow carrier. It can be used as early as 7 pounds and up to 45 pounds. We also like using a baby carrier at a theme park because it can sometimes be hard to maneuver the stroller when it gets crowded. We park the stroller and put baby in the carrier. We usually do a mix of carrier and stroller when we have a long day at a theme park. It gives us a nice place to put our stuff, a place to sit for lunch, and a place to take a nap or rest. (Make sure to check the attractions list for a complete list of ride restrictions).   One of the things we always put on our packing list whether we are going to Disney or just running errands is a car seat/nursing cover. We love the prints that Milk Snob has with Disney baby. From Mickey and Minnie to Winnie the Pooh and Bambi, these stylish nursing covers will not only help you cover when you are nursing, but can also be used as a car seat cover when baby takes a nap or even a scarf.           We were given product from Happy Family, Aura Frames, Milk Snob, Tula and Yogurtland. All of our thoughts and opinions are our own.
