Growing up in Switzerland, director Marc Forster had his bear and forest and nearby where adventures would take place, especially because he had no television.

But it was his six-year-old daughter, on a plane trip, that asked him to make a movie for her; one she could watch. Forster who had directed everything from James Bond in Quantum of Solace, to Halle Berry in Monster’s Ball, also directed one of my absolute favorite’s Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. He had been looking for another “magical realism” film and years later Christopher RobinĀ opportunity popped up.

He shares with us daughter’s request and the fun adventures they take together to keep their bond strong.
