The concept of acting was foreign to her family, for Cristela Alonzo coming from a first-generation Mexican-American household, performing was tough for them to grasp as “work.” She shares about finally getting them to realize her dream. Plus how she views set backs along her journey and the teacher that changed the course of her life, literally.
