Our top three reasons to attend a baby or children’s show

  1. You get to touch and test-drive. Baby shows enable you to get up close with the product and ask questions from the brands themselves. We have found this very helpful especially when it comes to strollers, car seats and baby carriers. The LA Baby Show had a test track with different types of terrain so you could see how the strollers you are interested in handle on sidewalk, rocks and turns. It also helps to test drive a stroller for how heavy it is especially if you have to load it into a car, how easy it is to fold and collapse and
how easy it is to adjust the seat and load baby in. We took the Bumbleride stroller for a quick spin. A great stroller for moms on the move. We also checked out the new luggage line from Bugaboo, which enables your carry-on to attach to your checked bag for easy rolling, which means a free hand to hold on to your roaming kid! Baby shows often have “reveals” or sneak peeks at upcoming products before they are in the stores. We got to check out Jujube’s upcoming Tokidoki Unikiki 2.0 print. Jujube bags are carried by celeb moms because they are stylish and functional. They have tons of pockets and are machine washable.
  2. Hear from the best. Each baby show will have different guest speakers. The LA Baby show’s speakers included Dr. Harvey Karp author of “The Happiest Baby On the Block” and “The Happiest Toddler On The Block” shared insights and best practices for caring and bonding with baby, and for helping your new child sleep through the night.  Dr. Tanya Altman is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA and is the Chief Medical Advisor for the
Newborn Channel. Her recent book, What to Feed Your Baby a Veggie-Lving, No-Fuss, Healthy-Eating Kids was a best seller since it’s release. Jamie Grayson “The Baby Guy,” an expert on baby products shared insight on what to look for in strollers, car seats, crib mattresses and more. The LA Baby show also featured seminars on breastfeeding, infant massage, cloth diapering and more. As you consider attending a baby show, check out that extra value of speakers and seminars. We think you will find it worthwhile like we do!
  3.  Giveaways and specials galore. This is probably our favorite part!  Many vendors will give away samples of their products. Whether it is a Once Upon a Farm squeeze pouch, Lacroix water or sampling of diapers, it gives you the opportunity to try the product before having to purchase a whole case. Because what works for one baby may not work for another. We always recommend bringing a bag or carrying a backpack so you can store your finds. The best part of baby shows is the giveaways. Many booths have fun ways for you to enter like snapping a pic and using a hashtag. At the LA Baby Show Babyletto gave away an entire dream nursery. The best part was that every attendee was entered to win.To read our entire post about going to a baby show Click here
