Christmas Gift Guide Roundup

We are counting down the days until Christmas. We are always looking for unique items for our children. We love toys that ignite imaginations, are activity-based or encourage our little ones to get off the couch and be active. These are also some great options if you need gift ideas for your child’s teacher, school, or if you have a community program that helps underserved children and families.

We are so grateful to have worked with all of these brands to surprise a school with a little library makeover and for the upcoming Toys for Joy event. Toys for Joy is an event that is both near and dear to Kelli and I and now our families. It provides toys, gently-used clothing, groceries and more to families in need. As bloggers we are often given toys and items to review and so for this holiday season, we gifted our review items to Toys for Joy. We used the opportunity to teach our kids about giving back. And while it was hard for them to give the toys away, they slowly are understanding what it means to give and help others.

Creamhaus

Creamhaus has the softest mats and coziest tents that can transform any room into a special clubhouse or reading nook. We used it to transform the corner of the library at the school into a reading nook to encourage reading. This could be a great gift for a teacher too or for the children’s playroom. All of the materials are non-toxic and the mats wipe down easily and the tents are machine washable.

Learning Resources

If your children are into coding or want to surprise your child’s teacher with a great gift, the Botley coding system by Learning Resources is a great gift. Children as young as 5 can learn how to code and engage in STEM principles. Botley can be used right out of the box and he doesn’t require a screen to be used. There are also classroom sets that make a great gift for the teacher or school. We gave a set to the school and the science teacher said she couldn’t wait to let the kids explore it.

Educational Insights

For the little ones that love to explore the world around them, Educational Insights has so many great learning-based toys and sets. One of our favorites is the microscope. It can be fun to collect leaves, sea shells and bugs and check them out under the microscope. We gave a microscope to the school and the kiddos loved it.

Peter and Pipa

We all want to inspire the love for reading in our children. Peter and Pipa is a great option. Each book is paired with a beautiful mask that will encourage your child’s imaginations to run wild! We gave a few sets to the school to help them build their readers’ theater.

Stomp Rockets

For kiddos with lots of energy, Stomp Rockets are a fun gift. They can be used both indoors and outdoors as the rockets are made out of foam. We like having “races” to chase our rockets and burn off more steam. This can be a great gift for teachers who need a rainy day activity.

Haba

From sorting toys and stackers to soft baby dolls, Haha has so many great options. We love that they are made with quality materials so we know that they are going to last from one child to the next. They also have many great learning-based toys for a teacher’s classroom gift.

Handstand Kitchen

Our kiddos love to bake and we love that Handstand Kitchen inspires the baker in all of us. Finding gifts for older children can sometimes be a challenge. But Handstand Kitchen has the most adorable sets including a mermaid baking set and pizza making set. This can also be a fun activity to do with the family or when relatives come to visit.

Faber Castell

One of our favorite gifts growing up was craft sets. From friendship bracelets to learning how to weave, Faber Castell has lots of great kits that the kids will love. These can be great to tuck away for a snow or rain day too and have a fun activity to do together.

We were given the above items for review and gave them to Toys for Joy. All of our thoughts and opinions are our own.
